Testify
On this months' prayer call, powerful, profound, faith filled testimonies were shared. The transparency of those who shared was a blessing that I hope gave those in the middle of their own wilderness encouragement to continue and not give up. In the coming days, I will write more about some of the "Apples of Gold" shared in hopes of encouraging those who are in the middle of their own wilderness, to endure to the end.
God is faithful, the shared theme of those testimonies. I want to highlight one of our beloved 3rd Sunday Prayer participants, who said, her testimony 'is' "The miracle before it happens!" She shared how indigestion for one with no apparent health issues ended up in heart surgery. Her testimony was that even before it happened, God had her do things that she normally does not do. For example, it was impressed upon her to do something simple like buy aspirin.
Since she is very healthy and does not take or keep medicine, she went back and forth a few times before just buying them. This person who is rarely ill felt something, and thought she would just take a break and get back to her busy life; however, her daughter just happened to be visiting and suggested she go to the doctor. Once there, and after initial tests, she ended up in the hospital for open heart surgery.
Her daughter, a high-level professional was between her next job assignment and "just happened" to have time off, the amount needed for her after care. Miracles, like the parting of the Red Sea are obvious, but regular things create pathways for God to work. Moses only had a rod, but that rod was used to deliver a nation. This warrior had an aspirin that altered the fate of her life in that moment.
Obedience was her pathway to victory for this now healthy woman who simply did what God led her to do, before her miracle ever happened. Even though her old heart was amazing, she got a new heart. God continues to renew her as an eagle. Her hospital stay was a divine magnet for those who cared for her and led many to Jesus. So, if you have been waiting, wondering, or feeling like God does not hear you; or, that He is just taking too long, trust His timing.
Miracles are never just for you but for those around you to see how your faith, trust and obedience to God reaps bountifully and glorifies Our Heavenly Father. Miracles are the pathway to the salvation and belief for those "doubting Thomases" or Saul's who question God but are ultimately transformed by His miraculous grace. God is faithful to fulfill all His promises to His Glory.
Believe in the miracle before it happens, so when it does everyone will be transformed by the power of God. This CHRISTmas, begin to thank God now for your miracle, before your miracle happens. God's promises are yes and Amen and He will certainly grant you the desires of your heart.
