Discipline of Darkness
Almost everyone has dark moments, times when we are uncertain about our lives. Times when we have little to no control over our own circumstances. During those periods, we must learn to exchange our expectations for God's will. Matthew 10:27, could be entitled - The Discipline of Darkness. "What I tell you in darkness, you say it in the light and what you hear in the ear that you shout from the roof top." In order to hear in dark moments, we must be still and wait on God.
No matter how long, trials will end. Due season is a set time or an ending date for something, good or bad. So as we wait, darkness can unveil, expose, reveal, teach and transform lives for greater good. The Holy Spirit is the light that shines in darkness. He is the powerful source that illuminates our path and lead us from night to noon day. In other words, God will bring you out of darkness into His marvelous light.
So, don't let darkness cloud your vision, instead embrace it and grasp what you need to learn to be better in the seasons ahead. Faith is often built in darkness. Remember, God spoke through darkness to create every aspect of our world (Genesis). In due season when He says, "Let there be light," in your situation, your darkness will end. People are watching to see how you handle your night season. It is an opportunity to glorify God, so let your light shine. God will continue to be a lamp unto our feet and our light unto our path.
